Story: From Darkness starts when a troubled woman goes missing in a Swedish nature reserve. Park ranger Angelica (Benér) teams up with her troubled ex-Viktor (Skagerberg) to make a team to search. Angelica, Viktor and Johan (Mörlin) head the search on foot and soon the history of a missing boy, Theo (Adsten), haunts them.

As the group continues their search, they see unexplainable things in the forest. The search becomes more difficult and the answers they are searching becoming less likely. However, what they discover puts their lives at risk, as they uncover a dark secret and creature surrounding it.

From Darkness is a horror thriller following park rangers searching for a missing person. They must put aside their traumatic past as they search for answers. However, what they find will leave them questioning everything they thought they knew.

This movie takes us into the darkest mysterious woods of Sweden. It uses the unknown in the darkness and the threats from conditions to create the horror. There is an intriguing mystery to watch unravel, which takes us down an uncertain path. The performance impacts the mystery as the trauma felt by the characters comes through in the desperation in the search. Meanwhile, the woods feel like a character all of their own. This is a real mystery and has haunting moments to keep us on edge.
