From Acting To Music Alex Sparrow Can Do It All

Posted on the 26 March 2019 by Entertainmentjolt @Entertain_Jolt

Alex Sparrow is able to do something most people wish they could do.  Not only can he act and do music but he does both extremely well.

We were able to take time and ask him a few questions about his latest music projects along with his thoughts on the entertainment business.

From Acting To Music Alex Sparrow Can Do It AllTell us what made you want to go into the music business?

I started playing the accordion at age 6, performing and competing in international competitions right away. At the time I was also playing soccer, but by the time I was a teenager, I decided to quit soccer and pursue music full-time. From there, I started singing and writing my own songs, and I’ve never looked back.

Can you talk to us about the message and meaning your songs have?

My music is mostly about love because nothing really makes sense in this life if you don’t have someone to share your happiness or pain with.

How has being bullied as a child affected what you do?

I became a fighter. I realized that there will always be people trying to stop me, but what I do should not be their decision because this is my life. I know many people out there have the same problems I had, and I want them know they’re not alone — if I managed to get through it, they can do it as well. No one should give up on themselves just because someone else said they’re not good enough.

What can our readers do if they are bullied?

People say the Internet is separating people, but there are many ways to use the Internet for good. For example, people in the music industry told me an artist cannot direct his own music videos, until I went ahead directed one [“Hello Angel”], which went viral around the world, accumulating over a million views. That’s the weakness of others’ subjective opinions and the real power of action we already possess. Whatever happens in your life, don’t listen to the negative opinions trying to suppress you or saying you’re not good enough. Use your own power, do what you think is right, and you always can use your social media to get a “second opinion”. Hundreds of followers cannot be wrong!

You’ve also done acting in the past. What do you like about acting?

Acting is a great opportunity to portray different characters and become someone else. I get to live a part of someone else’s life, which is often worlds away from my own. And music, in exactly the opposite way, gives me a chance to be myself, to express myself, my most personal thoughts and feelings.

What shows or movies might our readers know you from?

They might remember me as Alexi, the edgy “bad boy” of ballet in the third and fourth seasons of UnREAL on the Lifetime Channel. Alexi is the most unpredictable character of this season, an explosive and even dangerous guy, charming and full of vices. His heart is broken by a woman whom he still loves, and cannot let go. But above all, he is an artist of insane talent and passion, a man with an incredible inner drama, in the final stage of self-destruction. I think talent is a fire the Lord gives to a man so that he can share his warmth with others, like Prometheus. And as soon as one ceases to share this fire, he gets

burned by it … This is what happens to my character. He rushes to the cliff at a tremendous speed to either fall or fly.

Are there any upcoming acting projects lined up?

The Italian musical film Unavventura, in which I play an American hippie from the 60s and sing in Italian, is premiering in Italy right now! There is more to come, but this year I mostly want to concentrate on music.

What inspires you?

I get inspiration from everything I see. I love to write music, scripts, create new things. When I’m in my own world, I’m actually very happy. There are no limits and no rules. I’m not waiting for inspiration to write, I do not need it, as writing music

is as natural as breathing for me. I’m just enjoying those moments of creation, because I never know what is going to happen next. Like in a good movie, you cannot predict what’s gonna happen. So sometimes I just sit and start writing something new because it takes me somewhere I’ve never been before, even in my own imagination. There are always new characters, new melodies, new places and stories. I know you just finished a West Coast tour.

Will there be another tour or shows soon?

Yes, for sure! I am looking forward to it. On this past tour, it was great to see people who did not previously know about me, loving and enjoying my music! Going out and sharing my music is almost like converting people into my own religion!
