Verdict on Fright

Fright is a gothic horror following a teenage girl with agoraphobia living in her 1937s home with her mother. She believes a terrifying creature lurks outside and refuses to leave the home. However, a startling truth comes to life, which will change everything for her.

This movie takes us back to the 1930s era of the unknown, it creates danger from the outside and shows fears from people trapped behind. It provides an isolation that comes into play as Emily finds herself fearful of the outside world. The style everything is shot in feels like it is more from the same era too, right down to wanting to hear the reel rolling. There is an interesting mystery unfolding, but deep down, this is a story that leaves you surprised.

Final ThoughtsFright throws back to the 1950s with a beautifully styled movie.
