Friday was a blur. There was a technical glitch for a holiday order we’d put in, of things we’d designed ourselves as Christmas presents to take to Canada. Part of the shipment never arrived, sending us scrambling to make up for the missing ones.
After dinner we drove to the home village, much of it through fog, to attend a family funeral in the morning. We were just in Penela da Beira last month, and it’s surreal to be back so soon to pay our last respects to a family member we’d seen less than six weeks ago.
We’re both still sick, and tired of being sick. But we enjoyed the sunset. Tomorrow (which is now yesterday) is another day.
