Adam writes… I received a message via Twitter from my friend in Canada, London Walker Michelle Seidel pointing out a Tweet from London cabbie and blogger Richard Cudlip.
Was trying to locate the Asher's house on Wimpole St where Macca lived on Street View. Small clue in the photo. pic.twitter.com/sgVvBxmmtO

The "small clue" is, of course, my colleague Richard Porter leading one of his famous Beatles walking tours.
I love this pic. No picture of London – and what is Street View but a big picture of London? – would be complete without a shot of Big Ben. Or a red bus. Or, indeed, a black cab.
Street View captures all of these things because they are fixed points, ever-present London details without which London just wouldn't be London.
By the same token, a shot of London wouldn't be a shot of London without a London Walks walking tour.
Richard is leading the Rock'n'Roll London Walk today at 2:00pm meeting at Tottenham Court Road station.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
