You'll find us in two minds here at The DC on Rock'n'Roll Friday when the topic is Rock’n’Roll exhibitions.
Putting rock'n'roll under glass somehow defeats the purpose.
But when the act is David Bowie, then that's another story.
But WHICH David Bowie? Mod, hippie, glam? The Thin White Duke? The besuited matinee idol of Serious Moonlight? Plain old David Jones, late of the parish of Bromley?
When the answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE, and when the man himself - nicknamed Dame David Bowie by the wags at Q magazine - has made available more than 60,000 pieces from his personal archive, then it really is something to shout about.
The venue is perfect, too. The V&A.
The exhibition opens next March and runs to July and admission will be £14. Booking is open NOW.
In the meantime, come and follow his footsteps in London with us this afternoon and every Friday at 2.00pm.
