Friday is Rock'n'Roll London Day Bill Fury is still considered by many to be the most authentic rocker this country ever produced. And now there is a little corner of West Hampstead that will be forever Fury,
Billy Fury Way (named for the singer born plain old Ronald Wycherley in Liverpool) is situated off West End Lane in West Hampstead, where Fury was signed, for his early hits, to nearby Decca Records in Broadhurst Gardens. The graffiti portrait of the star – who passed away aged just 42 in 1983) is by Graffiti Life.
