Friday Headline Roundup

Leslie Holmes

Leslie Randolph Holmes of Upper Marlboro ran a scam financial service called “Christian Financial Services,” and used it to bilk a Waldorf, MD veteran out of $200k.  What’s sad is that the veteran met Holmes at a church function.  Holmes has been charged with felony theft.

Owner of Montgomery Mechanical Services, Richard Stewart of Mitchellville plead guilty in a plea agreement with the Dept. of Justice to not truthfully accounting or paying $3,969,337 of Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) taxes and federal income tax withholdings.  His plea deal includes restitution.  Sentencing is scheduled for April 2012.

  • Oh he’ll pay

Marcus Canty of Bowie, MD, was voted off X-Factor this week but unlike most others, he held up, was encouraging, and seems completely alright.

  • GO MARCUS!!!!
