Lights in Bloom Selby Gardens 2013
We were in Sarasota in late December and had the chance to visit Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in downtown Sarasota. It’s become an annual tradition to open the gardens in the evenings from mid- to late-December – which it doesn’t do the rest of the year. It’s a magical and enchanting experience to wander down the dark pathways amid beautiful flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and more, all in lights
There’s more to it than just lights
The Lights in Bloom event also offers an opportunity for children to visit Santa, play old-fashioned games, listen to live music, and enjoy food and drink. We took advantage of the hot chocolate generously laced with peppermint schnapps. Yum!
