Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

By Vanessa Kay @blushinggeek

Hey there pretties! I can’t believe how fast time flies these days. I swear it was only Wednesday a few hours ago. Oh well, it’s Friday already and you won’t hear me complain. Happy Friday everyone!

For this week’s #FFavorites, here’s my list.

Friday Favorites #2: Week of 8/11

Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

  • Sweet Bean by Naomi Kawase

Last Sunday, I attended the last day of the 2017 Japanese Film Festival in Cebu (EIGASAI) which they were showing the movie Sweet Bean. I watched the film with my good friend Janine and it was really heartbreaking. This story left me and all other viewers in the cinema in tears.

  • 4th Japan Education Fair and Convention

Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

I found out about this event just this month and I can’t contain my excitement. 2017 indeed is a year for Japanese culture here in the Philippines. This one’s happening almost a month from now and I can’t really wait.

You can know more about this event here.

  • Lemon Grass – Vietnam and Thailand Restaurant

After watching Sweet Bean, together with my friend Janine, we scouted the mall for some affordable Japanese restaurant for our dinner, but we ended up in Lemon Grass instead. I am scheduled to create an article about the restaurant soon, so wait up for it. For now, feast yourself with these yummy foods we ordered.

Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

  • One ok Rock (accoustic)

I always starts my morning by playing songs from these guys and I can’t seem to stop. The only distraction that I could think that worked out was by watching anime.  And as you can guess, I am currently playing One Ok Rock’s songs while writing this article *wink.

Here’s three of the songs from One Ok Rock that’s been hammering my playlist lately:

  • Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4

This one’s absolutely the best of all the best episodes in the Game of Thrones series. My! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time watching this episode. The scene when Daenerys rode her dragon fighting all the Lannister armies and their allies was so intense. Daenerys was so cool the whole time that I can’t help but watch it over and over again. I was also delighted in the reunion of the remaining Stark children. Now I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next episode.

  • Blown by the Wind by Jonaxx

Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

It’s been 5 months since I checked out Wattpad and I can’t believe I missed out the completion of this story. And I guess it was worth it because this story sent me into another dose of insanity haha. You can read my full review here.

  • Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught

Friday Favorites #2: Week 8/11

It’s been a long time since I read historical romance and I’ve been meaning to read more this year, but my mood always betrays me (disappointed). And finally, last night I was able to read one from Judith McNaught entitled Something Wonderful. And my! I have to say that it was far from what I imagine. I am meaning to publish my review pretty soon, and I hope you can wait a little more *wink.

The list above were much lesser than the one I had a week ago but I have the intention of fixing that next week. How about you, any favorite/s this week?
