Fresh Market Deal

I am totally a bad bloggy friend to just now be putting this deal out here but better late than never, right?!
Every Tuesday, Fresh Market (at least the one on 280 here in B'ham) has a deal of some variety. For the month of April it has been a great one.
$2.99/lb ground chuck
$2.99/lb boneless/skinless chicken breast
$2.99 gallon of milk
Dagwood has gone every Tuesday to stock up. His total has come under $40 each visit and that is getting 2 gallons of milk and approx. 4lb each chicken and ground chuck.
I have split it out into ziplocs and frozen for use later on. Just one visit has gotten us at least 8 meals! Pretty good seeing how we can easily spend that much eating out on 1 meal!
So if you are in town, head over to Fresh Market and stock your freezer! One major tip I have is to go ahead and either cook the meat or separate and freeze. I did leave some of the chicken in the fridge for what I normally do with meat and it had gone bad. So, make sure and use it so you don't lose it!
Oh, and Dagwood came home yesterday and said that Wlagreen's is matching this deal on milk for $2.99 a gallon. I wish we liked milk after it has been frozen. We may have to try it again and buy a few extra gallons.
