The thing that makes Country the near-perfect genre is how you can always find a song that is the way you feel. Parker McKay sings about a relationship going through a hard time with Honest. Even parts where her voice cracks a bit Honest is what everyone has felt at some point in a relationship.
Honest to me sounds like a Carrie Underwood song. That is a good thing for this rising artist. What Carrie Underwood does with her songs is to find the perfect emotion and does it throughout the song. McKay has done just what Underwood would do with Honest.
Now if you’ve seen Rascal Flats, The Band Perry then you might have seen Parker open up for them. You will want to remember Parker’s name because she is going to be the next Carrie Underwood with Honest and many more songs to come.
