Red Ribbon brings a dark yet bright song to everyone’s ear with Your Car.
What made me want to put this song on the Fresh Finds was it reminded me of a very old school rock sound. But not the pretty rock more the gritty rock. That gritty sounding rock is something we all could relate to on some sort of level and all went through that “phase”.
Your Car not only had what it needed musically but the vocals were able to draw you in and even out the darkness with a brighter sound. To me, this sound could be something of the Ya Ya’s in nowadays music. I have to say Red Ribbon picked the perfect time to release Your Car and the debut album Dark Party. Since it’s the fall season my music choice seems to change to a darker tone.
