Free Planet's most radical Standing Stone Circle theory - Stone Worship
THESE STONES FELL FROM THE HEAVENS.
now, don't get me wrong, I'm a modern mind and I understand the current ideas on plate techtonics and rock formation, but Stone Age People didn't. They had a different mind, formed around their own tacitly-accepted formulae of scientific nurture. Remember, these were Stone Age People, folk who owed their very survival to this goft of the gods, this sacrifice of their own so that man could make his stone axes and chip off his flints. At the end of the last Ice Age, stone age man will have seen these massive meteors crashing regularly to the land from the boiling sky and sought to 'appease the gods' somehow.
THE GODS ARE THE ROCKS or STANDING STONES.
By lifting these embed'd rock-gods from their earthly resting place, they liberated these gods from their gravitational imprisonment. Think about stone circles, they're a replanting of fallen space rocks. Or so those ancient peoples obsessed with astronomy and solar alignment and portents of Dragonic Sky Burning might have thought. Maybe they believed All Large Rocks, like the Sarcens used in Stone Henge and the slabs of Brodgar granite, were the fallen gods of the tempestuous sky they observed in impressive detail. The 'messsage from the ancestors' were the stones themselves, or the concept of stone use. The stone age was actually about hewing useful tools from the remnants of these old ancestral stone gods.
THE METAL GODS MURDERED THE STONE GODS
Thus began the dawn of modern materials religion and corporate asset dependancy. Why do I think, "This is the mentality of ancient stone age standing circle builders?" because they abandoned their stone gods, stopped building their megalithic stone circles, stopped holding great communal feasts of thanksgiving and stopped worshipping their stone (false) gods, as soon as the Bronze Age arrived. The bronze age gave tribal man a new deity to worship, the power and magick of metallurgy. And we've been ruled by that shiny substance as a bizarre form of communal self-delusion that's led to militaristic then financial slavery ever since.
ORIGINAL SOURCE MATERIAL: yesterday evening, I chanced across this excellent video of the 5,000 year old temple in Orkney. Turning in for the night, I started to meditate upon the structure of life+death exhibited by both this Orkney site and the Stonehenge site (to name but two) and it just came to me... like a flash...

THEY BELIEVED THESE STONES WERE THEIR GODS.
9/11 FOOTNOTE: ask any of these bronze age metallurgy magicians and, to a man, they'll cry, "Jet fuel won't melt steel buildings so that they explode to their foundation," that's the real 'message from our ancestors'. Re-examine 9/11. Make it happen, save yourselves from Patriot Act slavery.
