for me, as a once-ruthlessly devout atheist (leaning towards agnosticism as I get older) all this scriptural/religious mumbo-jumbo, this Christian/Muslim Voodoo, really pisses me off.It's just all too neat, all too clean. We have this book. This fucking book with its contradictory/bigoted kill list. That tells us how to live under Fascist rule, be it the Bible or the Torah or Koran. Who the fuck cares what this one fucking book says? It's (at best) a 'history written by the victor' pamphlet of propaganda.
That's not how God made us.
How do I know?
Well, isn't it obvious. You have Free Will. God, whether he's a Creationist or Fascist figurehead to whom you think you have to offer your wages or your children, won't intervene. Effectively, that Personality Type of Deity with Vengeance in his eyes, compassion even, doesn't exist. There's no proving he's there. You've been manipulated by a CWM or Corporate War Machine that wants you to be their Slave. That one fucking book is your prison cell. There's nothing else.
God loves you. How do I know?
Because he made you. Every time you had sexual intercourse. There was god MIXING THE GENE-splice, taking pride in his work. It's what he does. He's an Enabler of Life, nothing more. His VERY IMPORTANT ROLE is to ensure that you are made and that you have access to the PRIVILEGE OF A LIFE of Creativity, Passion and Kinship on a Free Planet. You can have all the faith in an afterlife you want, but you'll just be star dust so why cripple THIS LIFE? There'll be no salvation fr you or parade of Miss World virgins for you to ravage like a rabid dog. That's not how God works.
How do I know? Well, I hope not. Because that God's a fucking tyrant who enslaves your ass until you're his soap-sudding shower buddy in the afterlife of your eternal anal raping. I'm sorry, it has to be said like this. Don't trust any fucking globally-promoted and mass-marketed book. And I can say this because IT IS A LOGICAL ARGUMENT. I don't think God would expect man to live by such ridiculously outdated or ancient or anti-feminist or anti-contemporary ruleset. He just wouldn't. He'd expect mankind to GROW, physically and spiritually. How do I know? Well, God is infinite, right? Omnipotent? He can see and do all he wants, at every point through time. But he never intervenes. How do I know this? Auschwitz, Dachau, Belsen... he didn't lift a finger. Did those people need to experience THAT slaughter? If so, that's a Sick God for punishing them so.
And before you get too upset at THE TRUTH of my rantorial, I'll concede this one point of pseudo-atheist contention, so that you can learn from my insight. We make our own Free Planet story, by being alive.
