This year Malibu will be celebrating from Friday 6th July all the way through to Tuesday July 10th. Piña Colada means 'strained pineapple' and was first created at the Hilton Beachcomber Hotel in Puerto Rico in 1954; the cocktail is now a global bestseller. Malibu was originally created to simplify the making of a Piña Colada, so a free cocktail to celebrate.
During PC Day weekender, a whole host of bars from across the UK have signed up to host their own PC celebrations and allow consumers to claim a free Piña Colada in bar.
To claim your free drink head to www.pinacoladaday.co.uk sign up with their details, select their nearest participating bar and then take the mobile voucher into the venue to redeem. Here the bartender will enter a unique code so the redemptions per bar can be tracked.
Last year 25,464 free Piña Coladas were given away the weekender!
