Plot: Frank is hired to “transport” packages for unknown clients and has made a very good living doing so. But when asked to move a package that begins moving, complications arise.

Verdict: Basic Action Film
Story: The Transporter starts as we meet Frank Martin (Statham) who is the best driver in the in the business be it getaway or just doing the delivery jobs. When Frank gets his latest job his life is changed when he breaks his own rules while delivering Lai (Shu) to gangster Wall Street (Schulze).
When Wall Street tries to have Frank killed he goes back for a little pay back and a new car but finds himself in the middle of something he wasn’t prepared for but can handle with all of his skills.
The Transporter gives us everything you want in an action film that just doesn’t test you at all. We get very limited number of characters which doesn’t ever put Frank in peril. This is ABC action which is something that is enjoyable to watch but not to the levels of the Taken style which this could have reached.
Actor Review
Jason Statham: Frank Martin is one of the most respected and reliable transporters in the criminal underworld, he has a strict set of rules which he follows on a mission by mission basis. When he breaks his own rules he finds himself being targeted by gangsters who want their package. Jason shows he can handle the action side of his ability in this role.
Qi Shu: Lai is the package that is being transported to the gangsters but when Frank gets double crossed she finds herself having to work with him to survive. Qi is solid in this role which is the basic damsel in distress.
Matt Schulze: Wall Street is the gangster who wants Lai but he also doesn’t like outside resources making sure he cleans up anybody who works with him but is not in his inner circle which means he turns on Frank leaving him for dead. Now he is being targeted by Frank and will use all his men to get him. Matt is a very basic villain that never feels like a threat.
Francois Berleand: Inspector Tarconi is a close friend of Frank who enjoys the mystery surrounding him, when Frank’s house gets blown up he offers help but still wants to know who Frank really is. Francois makes a solid almost comic relief in this film.
Support Cast: The Transporter has a small supporting cast with most just being thugs that Frank has to take out.
Director Review: Louis Leterrier, Corey Yuen – The pair give us a very easy to watch action film that never really tests.
Action: The Transporter has solid action which helps show Jason Statham could be an action star.
Crime: The Transporter puts us into a crime world that shows what happens when one man gets double crossed.
Thriller: The Transporter does keep us on edge wonder what will happen.
Settings: The Transporter has a few nice settings without being overly important to final story.
Special Effects: The Transporter has basic effects for the explosion and stuff.
Suggestion: The Transporter is one for all the action fans to just try and watch and enjoy. (Action Fans Watch)
Best Part: Statham is good for action.
Worst Part: Not anything special in this supporting cast.
