Foxing follow up the 8-minute ‘Greyhound’ with ‘Hell 99’, the second song to be taken from their upcoming self-titled album (out on the band’s own Grand Paradise label on 13 September).
Described by guitarist Eric Hudson as being ‘about burnout and fatigue’, the song resembles the feelings of frustration and exhaustion we all experience in the modern, always-on world. Possibly the band’s heaviest song to date, the opening will take you back to the turn of the millennium with shouts of ‘1999’ and things just get more intense from that moment – loud and wailing guitar riffs, thrash metal drums and screams about ‘failures’ and a question asking ‘Is this all there is?’
