Former Richmond College cricketer Dudley Dias has passed away and his funeral will take place today (26) at the Dadella Cemetery , Galle at 4p.m .He played for Richmond from 1969 to 1972 was a good fielder at any position .
Dudley the youngest brother of three Richmond cricketers G.V.Y Dias and Jayantha Dias was highlighted in 1969 big match as he caught the winning catch to beat Mahinda. His elder brother Jayantha Dias was the first and only player to score back to back centuries at the Richmond – Mahinda big batch in 1968 and 1969.
Dudley Dias’ body remains at (opposite “Krishani Hardware Stores)- Wekenugoda Lane. 16/1,, Bope, Galle. (D.R)
