Barack Obama reported for jury duty in Chicago, but was dismissed a short time later, officials said.
The former President reported for jury duty in Cook County at the Daley Center, but before noon Obama was not chosen to serve.
According to the Chicago Tribune, departed from his South Side home for his 10 a.m. arrival at the Daley Center. His motorcade parked in a secure garage underneath the Daley Center. Obama then took a private elevator used by judges to the 17th-floor jury assembly room, where a small crowd of news photographers, reporters, court staff and attorneys pressed up against the doors hoping to catch a glimpse of the former president.
