The Hero Xoom 125, which was showcased at the prestigious Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) 2023, was launched for the domestic market at the India Mobility Expo yesterday. The price of this eye-catching design scooter starts from Tk 86,900 (ex-showroom). The Xoom 125 aims to meet the growing demand for premium 125 cc scooters. It may be noted that the company's first maxi scooter Xoom 160 was launched at the same event yesterday.
The Xoom 125 is the upgraded and larger version of the scooter currently sold as the Xoom 110. But it has distinct design elements to distinguish it from smaller models. The new scooter features sharp LED headlights and split taillights. A lot of cuts and creases are noticed on the body pedals, which add new dimension to the looks.
The Hero Zoom 125 scooter comes with telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. It will run on 14-inch wheels now with disc brakes on the front wheels only. Notable features include a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Comes with LED turn indicator.
For performance, the Zoom 125 scooter has a 124.6 cc air-cooled engine. This powertrain is capable of producing a maximum of 9 horsepower and 10.4 Nm of torque. The engine is linked to a CVT gearbox. Hero MotoCorp claims, this scooter is able to accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
Hero Xoom 125 will compete with TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis, Honda Dio 125 and other 125 cc engine scooters in the domestic market. The bookings are going to start next month i.e. February and the delivery to the buyers will be given from March.
