Ford’s Tri-Motor aircraft, nicknamed “The Tin Goose,” was designed for airline travel. To overcome concerns of engine reliability, Ford specified three engines and added features for passenger comfort, such as an enclosed cabin. From 1926 through 1933, Ford Motor Company built 199 Tri-Motors. This example was built in 1929 and flew for Eastern Air Transport, spent time in Cuba, did barnstorming, crop dusting and even fire bombing before EAA took ownership in 1973. Nikon D7100 w/80-400mm.
