Classic East Berlin brunch spot to watch the world pass by
Open since 1953 this was, and still is, one of Berlin’s most popular cafes. Café Sibylle is a perfect place for brunch when visiting Berlin. With its retro, modernist/communist styling and set in the midst of the lengthy Karl Marx Allee, be sure to visit here.
Brunch in Berlin is serious business. Time to relax, catch up and of course have good food. After checking out the menu, we picked our dishes, sat back and enjoyed some people watching.

The Sibylle breakfast is €10.80 for two people, for meat, cheese, fruit, jam, bread and croissants as well as orange juice or champagne.

But in addition to the fresh orange juice, a good strong Berlin coffee is always needed!

Three egg scrambled eggs with everything for €4.60, a bargain!

An iced coffee for €3.20, topped with whipped cream to complete the decadent and filling brunch.
The food was fresh, tasty and service swift and friendly.
Cafe Sibylle comes with the added bonus of a small nostalgic museum inside with historic artefacts and political caricatures on the walls.

There are lots of communist/cold war-era maps, old photos, information and stories from locals.
This cost a mere €22.80 for brunch for three. The only problem was that we visited in August when bees can in abundance and very annoying in Berlin!
