Walkers have launched a nationwide search for a new flavor combination and will make one member of the British public a millionaire in the process!
The competition last ran back in 2008 but this time there is a bit of a twist; the public is being asked to make a unique flavor combination by starting with one of Walker's home grown ingredients. They will need to pick from: Somerset Cheddar, Devonshire Chicken, Norfolk Pork, Dorset Sour Cream, Vale of Evesham Tomatoes or Aberdeen Angus Beef as the base and then go crazy with whatever else they feel is fitting.
A judging panel is going to pick 6 finalists then those 6 flavours will go on sale and it will be up to the public to vote for their favorite. The winner will win the £1million prize with the five runners up getting £10k.
I was sent some promotional packs of Walkers from a PR agency and was only too pleased to share details of this competition with my readers. As a food review blogger and snacks being a key interest of mine, I am always super excited about things like this and I really cannot wait to try the new flavours when they go on sale. I am hoping that people come up with some really adventurous ones and I may even submit a few ideas myself, I love the sound of Aberdeen Angus Beef as a base!
