Food Meets Art 119: Foodful National Flags

I just spotted the Lebanese flag made entirely from food, pita bread, diced tomatoes and cucumber and a coriander leaf as the cedar tree. This flag is among many other creatively delicious food art created by WHYBINTBWA (an Australian advertising agency) that recently designed these culinary flags for the Sydney International Food Festival. The reason is simple and that’s because food is one of the greatest representations of different cultures and of course the tastiest.

Each artistic delicacy is made up of a famous cuisine from the represented country, such as spaghetti, tomatoes and basil for Italy, sushi for Japan and feta with olives for Greece.Oh, and a flag made from hot dogs, ketchup and mustard for ‘murrica…
