Experimental post-pickers Folly Group have shared new single ‘Pressure Pad’ ahead of the release of their debut album ‘Down There!’ on 12 January.
Inspired by the grand cinematic sounds of Massive Attack and Gorillaz but with the added math rock stylings of Youthmovies or early Foals – plus a healthy dose of Afro-Cuban rhythms – the song whets anticipation for the record perfectly. The band sing ‘If I can’t do it, nobody can do it’ while also considering how ‘There is no way to shake me. One day I’ll wake up starving and either way you’ll hate me’.
