I have often found that I read a book and notice a particular quote in the book that seems to fit my life and how I am feeling perfectly at that time. Paulo Coelho’s book The Alchemist is just such a book, but I am not alone in this, since it was first published in Portuguese in 1988 the Alchemist has touched the lives of so many.
I discovered the Alchemist in a second-hand book shop the same week a friend recommended it to me. It was meant to be, and when I read the book I understood so much more about those little signs the Universe leaves for you, like an inviting trail of breadcrumbs. I realised I had noticed them before, but like so many others I had ignored them and my life had come to feel wrong. If you have a dream and think about that dream every day then the Universe will give you signs to help you realise that dream!

The Alchemist follows the journey of Santiago as he follows his dream of finding treasure, after experiences across deserts he finds his treasure at the place he started. Santiago learns that it is sometimes the journey and the experiences we have in the search of our dreams that can change our lives.
If you follow those signs you are on the right journey towards your dream, and you may notice that everything starts to fall into place in your life. This is because you are on the right path, don’t follow the path with fear in your heart, have faith in your dreams!
