In honor of the magazine’s second birthday, Vogue Singapore launched Club Vogue Singapore and put out a double cover with South Korean star CL and K-pop star Jackson Wang, who is the first solo male cover for the magazine in Singapore.

Club Vogue Singapore was made in collaboration with the XR content agency Polycount.io. It has a warm, circular lounge room that was inspired by Singapore’s tropical climate. It has a richly textured and layered space with tropical vines and monsteras, avatars floating on levitating marble daisies above a bubbling water feature, and wraparound sofas with bookshelves where you can buy the latest print issues of Vogue Singapore.

When you walk into the space, there are two important Web 3.0 activations: the “Forever Fashion-able” NFT collection and digital wearables.

  1. NFT Collection, which is “Forever Fashion-able”

In conjunction with MAD XR, the magazine has put together a special NFT collection that includes one-of-a-kind NFTs by renowned fashion photographers Nick Knight, Chen Man, Liz Collins, and Ellen von Unwerth to mark the opening of the venue and Vogue’s anniversary. On the top NFT marketplace, Brytehall.com, the NFT collection is currently up for auction.

  1. Digital wearables

Five mannequins that the Vogue Singapore team digitally dressed using the newest The Fabricant and DressX collections are on show in Club Vogue Singapore.

The Fabricant’s first digital accessories collection, called “XXories,” is only available in Club Vogue Singapore. It has 13 pieces, 10 of which are on display on mannequins in the lounge. The pieces will be available on Spatial.io as both an AR filter try-on and as digital wearables. They were inspired by a traditional dress from the Dutch province of Zeeland and by the Dutch techno Gabber culture of the 1990s.

“The accessories are intentionally provocative and suggest the idea of wearing your pain, presenting a fresh perspective on beauty that mixes IRL models wearing pieces that only exist digitally”, says Amber Slooten, creative director and co-founder of The Fabricant. The collection will be for sale in February 2023, and people can sign up for an early list in November.

The Snake Collection by DRESSX is for both men and women. It was inspired by the way snakes can grow and shed their skins. Natalia Modenova, the company’s founder, said that it has made three “metalooks” that can be bought and worn by avatars in Ready Player Me. They have also been featured in Vogue Singapore’s Spatial metaverse.

Vogue Singapore is not a newcomer to Web3.0. In the past, it has put out digital cover NFTs and NFT mystery boxes. It also started a project called Vogue Singapore x Vogue Ukraine NFT to boost money for Save The Children in Ukraine.

To celebrate Vogue Singapore’s anniversary, the magazine will also release an exclusive line of products from two Singaporean brands. These include an embroidered twill cap made of recyclable materials with the slogan “That’s Vogue” by The Paper Bunny and a retro-styled hoodie made of 100% certified recycled materials with the “VOGUE” logo on the chest by Dirty Manners. The collection will come out on October 12, 2022, and customers will be able to buy it on Shopify.
