In general I was surprised at how low key (and often diminutive) the wildflowers were in Victoria and New South Wales, but the flowering trees were another matter.
Grevillea robusta – silky oak
Acacia suaveolens – sweet wattle
Callistemon – bottle brush trees
Corymbia – flowering gum
Jacaranda – not native to Australia but too beautiful to be ignored
