Police in Boynton Beach, Florida responded on Friday to a call from a man who claimed he had accidentally shot himself.According to the Palm Beach Post, officers found the man in the bed of his pickup truck nursing a gunshot wound to the leg.The injured man explained that he was headed home from a gun safety class and had stopped on the side of the road to inspect his Glock pistol. He told officers that he had removed the ammunition clip, but failed to remove the bullet in the weapon’s chamber. As he was manipulating the slide, the weapon discharged. Police provided emergency first aid treatment at the scene, then transported the victim to a local hospital.
