Flashback

Last night took me back to the infant age of my kids. Being able to rock a crying baby to sleep. Wow how I miss those days of rocking my babies at night. The crying part I can do without but being able to comfort them and have them know they are safe in your arms in the best feeling!
OM has the same skin issues that SK has had. Eczema is a horrible skin disease that wreaks havic with a child/adult's skin. Molluscum is a virus that is spread among children and harmless for most children who will show no symptoms-but with eczema my kids pick up viruses much easier than most. And the virus itself causes bumps that for most go away with no treatment but again my kiddos don't have a "normal" child's skin and the treatment to get rid of the bumps is the painful part.
SK had molluscum and had been treated for it and is doing so much better right now. Praise God! OM got it from SK (they take baths together and are such great buddies that we were not surprised) but he has been more resistent to treatment. Yesterday was his third treatment and they upped the strength of the beetle juice. We have to leave it on for 2 hours and then wash it off. We went to an early dinner and within an hour of the treatment he was uncomfortable. We went straight home and got in the tub before the 2 hours was even up.
This is what my poor little man looks like... this is taken with my phone so the quality isn't that great but each of the red spots is an actual blister.

He screamed for several hours and I just rocked him. Finally, he fell asleep but woke every time I went to lay him down. I finally got him to sleep on my chest and rolled him over to sleep between Dagwood and I. He slept a bit fitfully and I was glad he was in the bed with us even though we both got kicked and punched a few times.
It is so very hard when your babies are hurting and there is literally nothing you can do to help but give them love.
