Five Nights at Freddy’s Characters

Five Nights at Freddy's game was invented in 2014 and has since become one the most popular games around. Here, we have listed every Five Nights at Freddy's characters and their role.

Five Nights at Freddy's, a game created by Scott Cawthon is one of the world’s most popularly played games. The game playing location is at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. There, a player will defend themself against animatronics.

This game franchise scope was greatly expanded with the addition of spin-off games, fan art and animations. Four of the game characters comprise FNAF 1 members. However, hundreds of other characters in the FNAF universe also made their debut.

Five Nights at Freddy's Characters

Freddy Fazebear

The main antagonist from the Five Nights at Freddy's series is Freddy Fazebear. His character is an animatronic bear that mainly plays with children at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He does this well with the help of other characters like Bonnie and Chica.

Besides, Freddy is also the lead singer of the band standing at the stage center. He plays a song before his jumpscare and laughs too.

Freddy over the years has appeared in different FNAF games, and in different variations. Examples, as Shadow Freddy, Phantom Freddy, Golden Freddy and Nightmare Freddy. However, Golden Freddy is arguably the most popular of all the variations of Freddy.

Please note that Golden Freddy's origin and goals are not known and this is why his story is a big mystery in the FNAF series.

Bonnie

Bonnie is the guitarist of the band, although also an antagonist in the game. He has been the guitarist since the time Freddy Fazbear's Pizza opened in 1983 and wasn’t replaced until four years after.

Toy Bonnie, a newer counterpart was asked to replace Booniewho and has been an active, sadistic, and vindicative character at night.

Chica

The backup singer in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, Chica, is also an antagonist. Her character will perfectly unpack humans of any size inside a Freddy Fazbear suit.

Chica can be described with her sphere-shaped head with an orange beak. Her purple eyes and black eyebrows make her absolutely unique.

On her white bib reads a message in yellow colour, although actually outlined in purple, which simply says “Let's eat”. in yellow letters that are. Chica, however, often gets carried away by food because of her glutton-like behavior.

Foxy

Foxy, although, a discontinued animatronic also entertains children by trying to stuff a human into a Freddy Fazbear suit, just like every other animatronic. However, Foxy has been replaced by a newer character named Mangel in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

Of all the animatronics, he appears to be the one with the sharpest teeth which have a resemblance to that of a canine. There are many variations to Foxy including Withered Foxy and Captain Foxy. With the former, Withered Foxy was noticed to be more aggressive than the real Foxy.

Toy Animatronics

The newly improvised version of the original animatronics is the Toy Animatronics which include Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica and Mangle. These characters have an Endo-02 endoskeleton which appears to be more explicit than the Endo-01 counterparts.

Toy Animatronics constitute the major antagonists of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and are bound to appear in other Five Nights at Freddy's series

Balloon Boy

Along with other toy animatronics, Balloon Boy is also an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 having a human-like animatronic resemblance to a toddler with a propeller hat.

Apart from being shy and cheerful, not much can be said about his personality yet. He often says a couple of dialogues like “Hi” and “Hello”.

Balloon Boy is well-known as a trouble-maker causing trouble for a player and doesn’t feel guilty or show any sign of remorse.

JJ

JJ, also called the Balloon Girl encompasses a hidden animatronic character. She plays a minor role, with her appearance similar to Balloon Boy in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

JJ character with purple eyes and a propeller hat, is a very mysterious animatronic being frequently hiding away from a player. As a result, you may not see her in the game at all times.

The Puppet

Also known as Marionette, The Puppet also appears in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 as a long, slender animatronic whose face resembles a mask. The Puppet is the only animatronics out of all which has the most human-like look.

The Puppet used to be an inanimate object, but was later possessed by Charlotte Emily and remains the only animatronic that is not fooled by the head of Freddy Fazbear because of its intelligence and awareness.

Shadow Animatronics

The Shadow animatronics has ghost-like, although with an unknown origin. Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie (RWQFSFASXC) make up the two-recurring animatronics during the entire series.

Shadow Bonnie's appearance was first noticed in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. His character fades away like Golden Freddy if a player stares at him for long.

Shadow Bonnie is a protagonist that freed children's souls in Five Nights at Freddy's 3, although, both Shadow Puppet and Shadow BB's appearance was noticed in a minigame. But a shadow animatronic of Dee Dee (XOR) appears in Ultimate Custom Night (50/20) only.

Phantom Animatronics

Phantom Animatronics character is to haunt the Fazbear's Fright, the Horror Attraction which happens to be the location used for Five Nights at Freddy's 3.

It randomly shows up in the game as the side antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's 3.

Springlock Hybrids

The Springlock Suits machinery functions as animatronics, although have been discontinued. However, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie appear to be the two known suits.

Springlock Hybrids are the mascots for Fredbear's Family Diner even though Fredbear is sometimes taken for Golden Freddy because of their similarity in the look.

Nightmare Animatronics

One of the scariest of all the animatronics, Nightmare Animatronics first appeared as the main antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. Only the Twisted Animatronics are as scary as they are.

These comprise deteriorated animatronics that has razor-sharp teeth and metallic eyes. However, no one knows whether the Nightmare Animatronics are in the FNAF lore.

Funtime Animatronics

Funtime Animatronics are advanced models whose appearance as the main antagonists was first noticed in the Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. These characters have futuristic models and comprehensive endoskeletons and are known to be self-aware due to their optimized AI.

Interestingly, some members of the Funtime Animatronics will return in the subsequent FNAF series.

Rockstar Animatronics

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator was where the Rockstar Animatronics first appeared as a different set of revamped animatronics. They can be purchased and used by players from the Smiles and Servos, Inc. Catalogue.

Lefty has been confirmed to make a return in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery.
