Mike is a very troubled security guard who crosses the line and ends up with no other choice than working the nightshift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, and on his first night he realises it isn’t going to be easy to get through.

Considering the pizzeria had been long time abandoned you would have thought it would be a nice easy job for Mike, who really needed to get his life on track if only for his younger sister who had been attempting to raise. Throw in restless spirits that just happen to be within the vengeful animatronic mascots that are still inside the pizzeria.
I had no background on the video game that the film is based on, which probably didn’t really help. Maybe with some previous knowledge on what I was potentially letting myself in for might have worked out better? Or the fact that I shouldn’t have bothered catching up with it after missing it on cinema release.
It’s pretty much a mess of a film to brutally honest as it didn’t seem to be able to decide which genre it was going to aim for, so it then has small elements of horror and thriller but doesn’t go all in and that is where it fails for me. I certainly won’t be bothering with the sequel that is for sure. The big reveal on what had happened was just so dumb as well.
