The Best Fitness Trackers

the only way to track calories, activity, sleep, and more, and the only body monitoring weight loss tool on the market that I will recommend. It measures galvanic skin response, skin temperature, heat flux, and has a 3-axis accelerometer, and somehow manages to capture over 5,000 data points per minute.

is an on-body monitoring system that consists of the Armband monitor,

online Activity Manager, an optional Display

I've been using it for two months now and it's been a real eye opener. It's a small meter that you wear on the back of your upper arm, measuring steps taken, calories burned, physical activity and sleep patterns. You customize the program for your specific goals, very simple to use.
I purchased it for 179.99 -plus you have to pay a small monthly to access the online software. I chose the six month plan for 10.00 a month plus they sent a voucher for the first 3 months free. While the initial purchase is a little pricey, it's much cheaper than most "diet" programs out there. It logs how many calories I burn while I sleep & how much activity I'm getting just doing my normal daily routine. You can log your foods and compare calories burned to calories going in. I can see exactly where I'm going wrong or doing right.

  1. The armband contains an "accelerometer", a device that we use to measure many aspects of motion. Your car air-bag system uses an accelerometer to know when you have been in an accident and deploy the air-bag, your Nintendo Wii game controller contains an accelerometer to measure how you move the controller to play the games.
  2. We counts your steps, using the distinctive walking and running motions measured by the accelerometer.
  3. We measure your "Galvanic Skin Response". The two stainless steel pads on the back of your armband are the GSR sensor that determine how much you are sweating.
  4. We measure your skin temperature using an electronic thermometer inside the armband.
  5. We measure the rate at which heat is being dissipated from your body, this is your "heat flux". Exercise physiologists are interested in the heat energy produced by the body, your muscles are fairly inefficient and we all produce a lot of heat energy when we perform physical work.top picks
