After huge fitness clothing clear out, I'm eagerly seeking new gym and fitness gear to replace it with. If you know me, then you'll be fully aware I love anything bright and fun to workout in!
Today I've selected a few items which I believe to be great additions to your wardrobe this October. You may be looking at those shorts thinking erm perhaps not those, which fair enough it may be too chilly for an early morning run in, however shorts can go over leggings or they can be perfect for home workouts. I love a good pair of shorts and Fabletics seems to have a decent range with some sort of fun print and pattern splashed across them. What else do we have for you this month?
Leggings// The two leggings I've chosen are from River Island and also Sweaty Betty. The Sweaty Betty Nidra Yoga Harem ones are what would be my yoga option and possibly double up for something to lounge around the house in. The River Island RI Active Pink Print Panel additions would basically work for any gym based work out - I'd opt for something more technically supportive for a run though.
Bags // Needing a new to the gym bag for those times when I have time to stop after and have a shower, or on a day I do a gym and swim session. The crossover bag is for one of those times I go to work out but then have some errands to do in town. One is from Fabletics, however I do believe it is now sold out, do have a browse as they get new bits monthly. The other is Sweetest Taboo Rose Gold Metallic Gym bag - Can't beat a splash of metallic this season!
Technical //Two technical items have made the list, one I have tried the other I like the look/sound of. I love the Motorola Verve Rider headphones. I've been using these for the last month or so for working out and like the fact they are wireless headphones. The watch is actually from Skechers and after needing a new workout watch I'm on the hunt for something new. By the way, watch out as I'll be doing a post of the best headphones for working out with!
Tops //Big fan of Manuka yoga wear so this Manuka Seamless Racer Back vest top from John Lewis in this seasons trendy blush pink, has obviously made it on the list. You can't really go wrong with a vest top as regardless of season you'll always want to wear one! I also have a cheeky flash of Topshop Ivy Park in there too, now I only have a gray Ivy Park jumper so I haven't a clue how good (technically) their gym gear is or not.
Layers //Layers in the form of hoodies and jackets of course. You will need layers as we head into those chilly months. Here is a classic Superdry Gym Tech Hoodie in a gorgeous color and of course a New Balance running jacket, which I can't really leave the house without now.
Swimwear // I decided about a month or so ago I was going to focus on my swimming. I love the swim part of a triathlon and I want to start focusing on that to get better. I currently have one swimming costume, but if I am going to be swimming a lot then I need a few on rotation. This one is the Competition Swimsuit from Sweaty Betty. it was really hard to pick one type from their range as they have so many fun ones, but this was a happy balance between exciting and practical.
Trainers // It is still Adidas ultra boosts as my favorite running shoe! After absolutely killing my ankle after falling down some steps, I've not been able to run. It's quite scary how bad I sprained it, I've had to rest it and me trying to sit still has been hard work! None the less we are starting to get better (touch wood) and I want to work on my shorter distances. These trainers are by far the best I've ever run in, so investing in another pair just makes sense! Find these Adidas Ultra Boosts here
Hope you've enjoyed this months fitness must-haves. What are you liking to train in this month?
