So you know what one of the pitfalls of having your kids birthdays 11 days apart? Cake. I realized that I will be eating cake until the end of April. I mean it’s in the house, we can’t have it go to waste. We have cake for the actual birthday and then there’s cake for the party. That’s 2 birthdays times 2 cakes, so 4 cakes. Seriously, someone needs to come over and help me eat all this cake. I just cannot stop myself and it’s doing nothing for my dieting.
To make up for the cake I am running up the stairs instead of walking and I’m making myself walk further distances. We did finally get a taste of spring this week too which was great. Got to get outside and play with the kids. And chase them around. Went bowling yesterday with the kids too. Okay, bowling in and of itself isn’t super physical, but it can be when you have to chase your toddler away from the ball return or when she takes off to look at the shiny pink ball 3 lanes away. So that has to count for something, doesn’t it?
Yeah okay needless to say it would seem I’m stuck in a long rut here. I could just say no to cake, but it’s not like I can’t have cake for my kids birthdays. At least April only comes once a year.
Please tell me there’s hope for me. Let me know how you’re doing. Can we commiserate together over our complete failures, or can you light a fire under my butt and get me to get it done by telling me just how much a$$ kicking you’re doing?
