Fisch Diving Gear Guide
To go to the new Desolate Deep, you’ll require Diving Gear. From the surface, two choices are available: Basic Diving Gear for 3,000 C$ from Moosewood and Advanced Diving Gear for 15,000 C$ at the Red Buoy.
The Basic Gear gives oxygen for 60 seconds, giving you ample time to reach the Desolate Deep if you don’t get hooked in a mine or detour. The Advanced gear, on the other hand, lasts around 3 minutes and allows for greater trial and error in deep water expeditions.
Flippers and Tidebreaker
Flippers boost your dive speed, allowing you to reach deeper depths more easily. Each version for sale is displayed on market stands across the Desolate Deep Pools.

- Tidebreaker – 80,000 C$
- Despite its unusual name, the Tidebreaker functions identically to the Flippers and is the best version.

Miscellaneous Items
Surprisingly, the Glider plays an important role in getting from the Desolate Deep to the Brine Pools. This may sound weird given how deep below you are, but by going to the sky, you will be able to parkour around stony faces and sneak into the gaps of the wall to unlock and fish in the brine pool.
Fortunately, the Glider can be purchased for 900 C$ at the hut in the Desolate Deep or from the Ashe NPC at Roslit Bay.
Which Diving Kit Should You Buy?
Given that the Glider is required to reach the Brine Pools, it’s obvious that you should include it on your buying list. Along with this, I suggest the Advanced Diving Gear since the lesser version makes for a more stressful journey. To sweeten the offer, any of the Flippers or Tidebreaker will complete the set.
Despite the significant price difference and speed buffs, each Flipper version acts like an underwater watercraft. They are not required to go from A to B, but they do help save time.
