My summer has been more full than I could have ever imagined and even though posts here on the blog have been remiss as of late there is plenty (and I do mean plenty) happening in the world of theglutenfreechefblog Omnimedia, LLC. From dessert pop ups to impromptu radio interviews, historical tour designs, interns, and a whole lot of chronic health in between; to say that I am busy is an understatement. A few moments have been a little overwhelming, but work extremely hard to take all the good (and the little bad) in stride and continue to move forward little by little every single day.
My mantra is a little good everyday goes a long way into accomplishing huge huge things. If you remember, my workshop is called 540WMain and it’s less of a workshop and more of a huge deal for the Rochester community. Most of my activity has taken place at 540WMain and the space is ebbing and flowing into more and more of a beautiful space with each passing day. One of the many programs and concepts that is housed in 540 is 540Gallery.
Since one of the many functions of 540WMain is it being a community art and multi-cultural center; each month the historic walls are filled with the art work of a local artist. The goal is promote art and culture in our often overlooked region and create a hub of activity for other Rochestarians to visit the Susan B. Anthony district. On yesterday we featured the stunning artwork of Lashonda Davis. The turn out was more than amazing and the Strawberry Shortcake Dessert PopUp was even more of a hit! Check out all the amazingness in the pictures below and be sure to follow all that’s happening at 540 by visiting www.540westmain.org
