Entertainment Weekly is giving us a first look at Nia Long as Shay Mosley, the new executive assistant director of the NCIS Los Angeles team.

As a former Secret Service agent, Mosley is an experienced Washington insider who brings an east coast demeanor to the west coast team.
“The character was created specifically for Nia to capitalize on her strengths and personality and we are excited about the new opportunities and dynamics she brings to the show,” executive producer R. Scott Gemmill told The Hollywood Reporter. “We couldn’t be happier to have her join our family.”
NCIS reunites Nia Long with LL Cool J, the two starred in the 1999 film ‘In Too Deep’ together. Nia revealed on Instagram that she grew up listening to LL’s music, with a photo of the two on the set of NCIS.

Nia Long was last seen on FOX’s Empire as Giuliana Green the love interest of Luscious Lyons.
