I wanted this second abstract painting to be able to be hung with the first in this pair, but not to be too similar. The pattern is close, but I added lime green to the center of this one and left out the brilliant blue. My last two colors for patterns around the edges were ultramarine blue and prussian blue.
When I finished I also made a pattern of prussian blue on the 1.5" sides (edges) of the stretched canvases. After drawing each set of lines, I filled in the shapes in the pattern with a small brush dipped in glaze medium to blend the paint.
It feels good to be finished with this group and get ready to move on to something new.
