Finish This Week 23

Posted on the 11 June 2014 by Krickeyb

I really enjoyed this week’s Finish This prompts. I am SUPER excited for next week’s though. If you are a new follower, I recently “linked up” with other bloggers by participating in a blogging game called Finish This. The game is an opportunity for bloggers to link up and share a bit about themselves. If you are reading this, consider joining in. Readers who do not have a blog can simply comment below and “finish” the sentences that I have finished. For more information, click the image below. Enjoy my responses and happy Wednesday. The weekend is almost here!

The best compliment I ever received …

was that I am a natural leader. Nothing is more rewarding than hearing that your efforts to gain respect, work hard, and make a difference is acknowledged. I have attended many leadership conferences and programs to learn all that I can about becoming a great leader. Some qualities of a leader that are necessary to portray are integrity, confidence, commitment, and positivist. I try my best to exude those qualities inside and outside of the workplace. I was thrilled to receive that compliment on numerous occasions in my life.

Wearing red lipstick makes me feel …
strong and sassy! I never leave the house without lipstick. There are MANY days where I choose to go without make-up. However, you will never see me leave the house without a bit of lipstick. It’s a staple for me. Red lipstick, though… that is a different story. I rarely wear red lipstick. When I do… I feel (as I said above) strong and sassy. My roommate from college, Kelly, wears red lipstick and she will strut with confidence down any street. I admire that about her. There is a red lipstick challenge that I was interested in a while ago, but never got around to giving it a shot. Perhaps I will this year. Have any of you read/heard about this? If so, let me know what you think!

The best investment I’ve made …
was in my Nikon camera. This camera is fantastic! I have taken some amazing photos using it and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I should review the camera online for Nikon sometime soon.

My best childhood memory …
cannot be described in a few sentences. The amount of memories I have from the street I live on with old neighbors and friends is incredible. If I have to choose one, I will choose one that does not take the cake as best memory. It sure was a great one, though. Many years ago, my brother and I would spend our summer days across the street at our neighbors house. The four of us were inseparable. With no licenses, no car, and no one to drive us to the store, we decided to contact the local Wal-Mart. We requested to purchase sock’em boppers. The associate at the store proceeded to make the transaction happen (we did not have a credit card, we said we wanted to pay with cash). We gave him our address and he came to the door with our sock’em boppers. We could not believe the transaction was a success. Of course, we paid him and he went on his way. You are all probably thinking, “Are you insane? Telling a random man your address for a toy?” Well, we weren’t the smartest kids on the block, but we certainly knew that sock’em boppers were worth it! I am not sure a person would be so kind to bring a group of kids a toy these days. Regardless, the memory has not been lost and if I could go back and do it all again, I would in a heartbeat.
