This new Sanchar Saathi portal of DoT is an upgrade version of the already running TAFCOP (Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection) portal. Earlier this portal was for the users of some states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, which has now been launched all over India. With this many agencies including CEIR have been integrated.

How many SIM cards have been issued in your name?

Whenever we have to take a new connection, we give many documents including our photo ID to the point of sale center authorized by the telecom operators. Many times many SIM cards are issued in your name by misusing your documents. In such a situation, there is a possibility of online fraud. This online portal of Sanchar Saathi can help you with this.

For this, you have to follow the simple steps given in the online portal, after which you will be able to find out and block all unauthorized SIM cards linked to your mobile number.

What is the method?

  • First you need to visit TAFCOP Sancharsaathi Portal (tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in/telecomUser/loginPage)
  • Here you have to enter your mobile number and the given security captcha.
  • As soon as you click on the validate button, an OTP (One Time Password) will come on your mobile number.
  • After entering the one time password, you will be able to see all the mobile numbers linked to your mobile number.
  • If you see such numbers in this list, which you do not know, then you can block them.

How to block?

  • If you do not know the number given in the list, then click on the check box made in front of that number.
  • After this, click on the options given to the right of the number – Not Known.
  • Then tap on the Report button at the bottom.
  • If you see any old number here, which you are not able to use now, then click on Not Required from the given option and click on the report button given below.
  • The DOT and TAFCOP will process those numbers after you request them.
