At last, my home office renovation is completed! Yeah! I’m so happy. I now have a space that’s all my own, decorated in styles that I love: traditional, minimalist and contemporary. Everything fell into place quite nicely once the furnishings arrived and, thanks to the generosity of RugsNow.
One of my new additions is a rug from RugsNow. This rug, which is under my office chair, accentuates the colors of the nearby Persian rug. I love the texture that this neutral rug has. With its lovely texture, it’s a perfect complement to the new decor.
It’s amazing what the neutral rug does for the space. It totally adds some glam and style to the room. With its subtle color, it’s a perfect complement to the new decor. Thank you to all the helpful folks over at RugsNow.
The new look of the room is fabulous! I could wax poetic about it, but I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking.
This is where I work from everyday. Where I sit and let the inspiration flow through me. It’s a very feminine room with touches of pinks, reds, golds and yellows. My husband gave me carte blanche when it came to picking out the color scheme.
I have to say that I’m totally loving my monogrammed acrylic tray and iphone holder. It’s all about the glam.
The beauty about this cabinet its very functional, serving as a storage unit, a place to display some objets d’art and a floral arrangement. Not to mention the mercury glass reflects light into the room.
Sometimes, I sit at this chair and work on my tablet. I get to enjoy nature and the change of scenery always helps the creative process.
I purchased these two pieces of artwork from my vacation in Key West in January. I was drawn to the Paris one because the matting was unusual as it’s a mirrored. I have the twin on another wall, that’ll you see in another picture.
Here’s the twin, New York. Fabulous, aren’t they? I couldn’t resist these two. They exude attitude and spunk with a touch of class and glamour.
This picture, by far, is my favorite. Titled “Meeting in Marseilles” it makes me wonder what they’re talking about? What is the relationship between the two of them? Is she reprimanding him for staying out all night? They’re body language is hard to decipher.
The abstract art was given to me as a birthday gift from an artist friend of mine. It blends perfectly with the wall color and furnishings.
I’m saving the best for last. My husband and I were married in the island of St. Lucia six years and one set of friends gave us this as a gift. You can see St. Lucia in the uppermost picture. My husband, Christopher, hung these two as it appears on an Atlas. I so love the colors.
Well, there you have it. My home office renovation. It’s come along way from the room that I used for studying along with a drafting table. It was not as pretty as it is today. It’s all grown up!
I hope you agree,
Simone
