I wanted these two abstract floral paintings to work together, just as the first two did. In order to see if this was true, I stood them side by side and studied them. After doing so, I decided I needed to simplify the petal colors in the first of the two paintings.
Here are the two paintings before I worked on them:
I decided to cover over a lot of the variations in color in the petals of the first painting to match the simplicity of the second one:
Now I think these paintings work better as a pair.
