Fifth Black and White Abstract

By Abstractartbylt @artbylt

For my fifth black and white abstract on paper, I began with a palette knife, spreading thick mars black paint from a tube onto the paper.  I did this roughly, leaving the white paper showing through here and there.

Then I used a thinner paint to brush on lines, allowing the paint to drip and splatter.  I worked at getting a sense of heaviness toward to the bottom and lightness at the top.  This ended up giving the painting a landscape feel.
