And that is why we bring you easy step by step at-home facial that you can do anytime (day or night) and even complete your house chores (a relief), and the catch is that all the ingredients are stored in your kitchen cabinet.

1. Cleanser:
This is an essential step in at-home facial. Due to the pollution, dust around us dirt, grime can easily settle on the skin and that is why we suggest you indulge in cleansing your face with a soothing cleanser that is super effective in removing the dirt from your face.
DIY Cleanser– Milk and honey
Mix equal parts of milk and honey and apply it gently on your face. Massage your face gently, start from your forehead, eye region, nose, lips, and neck. Always massage in the upward direction and continue massaging for 2 minutes and then with the help of warm wash cloth wipe your face and you are done. This cleanser would suit dry skin beauties, however other skin types can indulge only with honey.
2. Exfoliation:
You just can’t miss this step while doing at-home facial. Exfoliation helps in sloughing the dead skin cells, unclogs pores, increases blood flow, repair the damage skin cells and regenerates healthy skin cells making your skin soft, smooth and beautiful. Make sure you scrub your face, neck, lips and avoid the under eye region as it is highly delicate. DIY Exfoliating– Ground rice, honey, and turmericTake 1 tablespoon of ground rice and mix it with 1 teaspoon of honey and a pinch of turmeric. Smear it on your face and neck area and scrub your face gently. We recommend you do this for 3-4 minutes and then wash your face with cool water. Lip scrub– For the perfect pout make a small portion of scrub comprising of cinnamon powder, brown sugar, olive oil and honey. Mix all the ingredients and smear it on your lips and scrub in a circular motion for 2 minutes. And then rinse it with cool water.
3. Steam:
Steam helps in removing the deep-seated impurities and works in giving a natural glow to your skin. It opens the pores, softens the skin and releases the debris, grime in your skin which causes acne, breakouts. Also, it is one of the best ways to detoxify your skin. DIY Steam– green tea bags, essential oil
Boil 2 cups of distilled water and add to the boiling water green tea bags and a few drops of essential oil. Tie your hair into a ponytail and drape a towel around your face and inhale the herbal steam that will help in boosting the oxygen level and nutrients in your face. If you have a steam machine, then add the green tea and essential oil infused water and inhale the steam for 10-15 minutes.
If you have the blackhead remover instrument, then gently remove the blackheads around the nose, cheek, chin area. If you don’t have the instrument, you can skip this step.
4. Face Mask:
After pampering your skin with the above steps. It is time to indulge into the relaxed step of the at-home facial- face mask. Face mask protects your skin from free radicals, fights acne, blemishes, other skin imperfection, also it makes the skin radiant, youthful and dewy. Find a face mask according to your skin type, however, we have shared a universal face mask that would suit all skin type.DIY Face mask– Multani mitti, Vitamin E, Honey, Rose waterTake 1 tablespoon of Multani mitti, 2-3 capsules of vitamin E, 1 teaspoon of honey and required rose water. Mix all the ingredients to form a thick paste. Smear the face pack on your face, neck and let it rest for 20 minutes. Rinse your face with cool water.
Moisturizer:
Massaging is an important step in facial, and when you are cleansing, exfoliating your skin, massage your skin for a long time it will stimulate blood flow and de-stress your mind and facial muscles. So the last step involves moisturizer and a good massage. Be it any skin type moisturizing your face will lock the water the content in your skin, make your skin supple and soft and even boost skin elasticity. DIY moisturizer– Almond oil, aloe vera gel, Vitamin E oilMix all the ingredients in a bowl and apply it all over your face. With the help of your fingertips massage your face in an upward direction. Massage for 4-5 minutes and then rub your palms and pat your face with your hands. Gently pat the eye region and massage your eyelids too. It would be ideal to do this step before your bedtime.
