Festival Update: Dot to Dot 2011

Dot to Dot 2011

Yet another exciting update from this years’ Dot to Dot including more up and coming bands as well as which venues are going to be involved this year. The latter to the uninitiated might not seem like a big deal but for those who have graced the pavements of Bristol, Manchester or Nottingham it’s the hot fudge sauce on already fully loaded ice cream cake.

Bands confirmed for Dot To Dot 2011 this week include self-proclaimed Scottish fight pop six-piece Dananananaykroyd, alt-electro five piece Morning Parade, shimmering indie-disco merchants Trophy Wife, anthemic psychedelic indie from Fixers Swedish goth tinged electro-pop stars Niki & the Dove, New Jersey based singer songwriter Allie Moss who caught the public imagination with her lauded track ‘Corner’, a live set from ghost-stepper Becoming Real and the psych folk stylings of Colourmusic.

As well as all the new bands Dot To Dot is pleased to announce the venues taking part in this year’s Dot To Dot for each of the three cities.  Bristol venues playing host to the line-up are Anson Rooms, The Academy, Thekla, The Fleece, The Louisiana and The Cooler. Nottingham haunts include Rock City, Nottingham Trent Student Union, Rescue Rooms, Stealth and The Bodega. Whilst Manchester’s venues will be Academy 1, Academy 2, Academy 3, Club Academy, The Deaf Institute and Sound Control.”
