Verdict on Festival of the Living Dead

Festival of the Living Dead is a horror comedy following two best friends who attend the same festival, only to discover that the festival has been overrun by the undead. They must put their differences aside to survive and understand they are growing up and changing.

This movie brings a new idea connection to a zombie outbreak. In a strange series of events, it is a loose sequel to the Night of the Living Dead, with the festival being in memory of the victims. We get the lifelong friendship being tested with the stage of life when school finishes and college starts. When it comes to the undead sequences, it isn’t anything overly fresh, but the environment is the most important part of the outcome. The movie does a great job of putting more focus on the characters than just an overly creative zombie kill.
