This past weekend the weather finally decided to cool down a bit which made for a much more enjoyable weekend because we got to spend more time than usual outdoors with sweet baby Ralph. A couple of weeks ago I bought a few blankets so that we could lay in the backyard with Ralph when the weather finally cooled down (or at least didn’t make us sweat). It made for such a fun Sunday afternoon to lay in the backyard, listen to music and watch baby Ralph take in all of his new surroundings.

We all know that cooler weather not only means enjoying time outdoors but it also means that we get to start busting out the boots again! I love this time of year because I get to pair my more transitional dresses (like this merlot Shoshanna dress) with some of my favorite boots. This Shoshanna dress is really the perfect buy now wear now but also wear later dress. I love the breezy silhouette, the long sleeves and even the bow that ties in the front. Plus combination of the feminine print and fall color makes it just lovely.

While I plan to wear this dress with over the knee boots (like these), when the weather REALLY cools down I think this dress will look just as cute with a pair of tights and black pumps or even black booties!
