Featuring Blue in New Acrylic Painting on Paper

By Abstractartbylt @artbylt

Beginning with cobalt blue, I used the same approach and composition as I did in the first watercolor block painting.  With small brushtrokes, I added brilliant blue, aqua and lime green toward the top, with ultramarine blue and Prussian blue at the bottom of the blue swath.

I painted the background parchment with white highlights, and then shaded it with touches of the other colors. Spots of alizarin crimson added contrast and depth.  When the painting dries, I will carefully remove it from the watercolor block.
